This original DCB184-XJ 18V Li-ion battery from DeWalt has a voltage of 18 V, a capacity of 5.0 Ah, and a power capacity of 90 Wh.
The battery can be used on all systems from the 18 V XR Li-ion line and is therefore ideal for the DIY enthusiast who owns several of these devices. This way you can easily switch between various power tools with one battery. The battery can easily be clicked onto a suitable tool.
Because the battery has a lithium-ion (Li-ion) composition, the energy density of the battery is much higher than with old-fashioned nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, which means you can work for a longer period of time and the battery does not suffer from the memory effect and has a very low degree of self-discharge. This way you can be sure that all energy is used properly.
In addition, the battery is equipped with three LED indicators. When all 3 are lit, the battery is at 70-100% of its level, with 2 lights at 40-70%, with 2 lights at 25-50% and with 1 light at 10-40%. If this last indicator starts flashing, the battery needs to be charged.
