Description

Purple ABS 3D printing filament.

Standard, 2.85mm, diameter filaments are useful for a variety of day-to-day 3D printing tasks.

About ABS:

ABS produces tough and durable pieces that resist high ambient temperatures.

This makes ABS an excellent material for printing items that will be used regularly but it is unsuited to printing decorative pieces because it is poor at printing fine edges and details.

ABS retains some flexibility after printing so it is easy to continue working on pieces even after they've cooled.

Common applications of ABS:

  • Musical instruments (such as the recorder or plastic clarinet)
  • Small kitchen appliances (the plastic parts in a kettle)
  • Children's toys (Lego is made from ABS)
