How does Epson ecotank printer ink work?

Epson ecotank printers have features that are unique among inkjet manufacturers. An essential difference is in the way ink is transferred to paper. Epson solely relies on piezo electronic driven printhead that drives the ink through the microscopic nozzles creating a clear pigment image. This is seen as a more accurate technique than the competing technologies, because it is implemented outside the ink tank as a fixed part of the print head. Epson refill bottles for eco tanks printers use the refill bottle system, where cartridges are not needed. Epson ink bottles are quite simple, they have no real electronics, just a plastic ink bottle that has a small chip attached to them. The chip identifies the bottle type and is used for approximating the remaining ink level, in a very conservative way and reduces the chances of your printhead drying out.
