Cleaning your Brother printer with LC-223 cleaning cartridges

Regularly cleaning the interior and exterior of your Brother printer is important if you want to prolong your printer’s life! Similarly, manually cleaning the printhead from time to time will help prevent poor-quality documents and images. Using the 123ink version Brother LC-223BK black cleaning cartridge, you can prevent the nozzles in the printhead from becoming clogged with black ink. • To start your cleaning process, simply remove the cartridge from its packaging and remove the yellow tape, then remove the orange plastic cover (if any).
• Replace the Brother ink cartridges in your printer with the cleaning cartridges.
• On your printer display menu, select Ink or Ink Management and then select Cleaning.
• Select the printhead you wish to clean (black, cyan, magenta, yellow or all).
• After cleaning the printheads twice, let the printer sit for about an hour.
• Then clean the printheads once again.
